Coach Shaufler on the contest
I felt like we competed very well today against a pretty good UIC team. In recent years under the direction of their new coach they have become a pretty solid program. I felt that Kristian Blagoev and Luke Coppage played very solid to get their wins. We still need work in our doubles. We are not to the level of other teams when it comes to matching up with physicality. Until we do, we are going to continue to go into the singles down a point. We have a challenging road trip coming up at IU-Indy and Notre Dame."
UP NEXT: The Golden Eagles travel to IU Indy on Saturday, Feb. 7 for a 2 p.m. CT opening serve.
