Tyler earns Preseason All-BIG EAST Honors; VB Picked Third in League

MU picked to finish third in the BIG EAST, with junior outside Carson Tyler earning Preseason All-BIG EAST accolades.
NEW YORK – The Marquette University volleyball team was picked to finish third in the BIG EAST in the 2026 season, while junior outside hitter Carson Tyler was selected to the Preseason All-BIG EAST team, as announced by the conference office Thursday morning.
Tyler, a transfer from Ball State University, will be donning the Blue & Gold after a standout pair of seasons with the Cardinals. At Ball State, Tyler earned 2025 Mid-American Conference Player of the Year honors while recording 506 kills, 321 digs and 43 service aces last season, also earning First Team All-MAC, AVCA Midwest Region First Team and AVCA Honorable Mention All-America recognition. As a freshman in 2024, she posted 374 kills and was named the AVCA Midwest Region Freshman of the Year and MAC Freshman of the Year.
Over two collegiate seasons, Tyler amassed 880 kills and gives the Golden Eagles a proven six-rotation player with extensive offensive production at the Division I level.
Tyler and the Golden Eagles are set to open the 2026 campaign at the Jeep AVCA First Serve in Milwaukee against No. 2 Texas on Monday, Aug. 24. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT, and will be televised live on FS2.
