Korn Adds Alex Tejero Villamil to Staff

Tejero Villamil joins program as a Video Analyst and Director of Operations.
MILWAUKEE – Marquette University head men's soccer coach David Korn has announced the addition of Alex Tejero Villamil as the program's Video Analyst and Director of Operations. Tejero Villamil joins the Golden Eagles after gaining experience across youth academy, collegiate and pre-professional soccer environments, most recently serving as an opposition analyst and assistant coach with RiverLight FC of USL League Two and as an assistant coach at Concordia University Wisconsin.
"We're excited to welcome Alex to our staff," Korn said. "He's a talented coach who has developed under some outstanding mentors at both the club and collegiate levels here in Milwaukee. He has a genuine passion for learning, is incredibly loyal, and is constantly looking for ways to improve himself and those around him. He brings a great understanding of the game, strong tactical insight, exceptional attention to detail, and expertise in video analysis, opponent scouting, and recruiting evaluation. His ability to break down the game, identify key trends, and provide valuable insights will make him a tremendous asset to our program as our Video Analyst and Director of Operations. We're excited about the impact he'll have on our staff, and the continued growth of the Marquette Soccer program."
A native of Barcelona, Spain, Tejero Villamil holds dual citizenship in Spain and the United States and brings nearly six years of coaching and player development experience. Over the past several years, he has worked in elite youth, collegiate and pre-professional environments, developing expertise in tactical analysis, player development, scouting and performance evaluation.
Most recently, Tejero Villamil served as an opposition analyst and assistant coach with RiverLight FC, where he collaborated closely with the club's first-team coaching staff. He developed comprehensive scouting reports on opponents, conducted team analysis sessions and assisted in designing training plans tailored to upcoming competition. His work included producing detailed reports on each league opponent and helping identify tactical opportunities to gain a competitive advantage.
In addition to his work with the USL 2 club, Tejero Villamil spent three seasons with Bavarian United's MLS NEXT program, assisting with player development across multiple age groups. He helped design and implement training sessions aligned with the club's game model while supporting the development of academy players.
Tejero Villamil also served as an assistant coach and individual development coach at Concordia University Wisconsin, where he created personalized development plans, led individual and small-group training sessions and worked closely with student-athletes to support their growth on and off the field.
Tejero Villamil holds a USSF C License and a FAW UEFA C License. He has also completed numerous advanced certifications through the Professional Football Scouts Association (PFSA) in performance analysis, opposition scouting, talent identification and technical scouting, along with Hudl/StatsBomb coursework in football analytics and video analysis.
