2011:A speedy forward who has played in all 22 games and has started in 20 games... Named to the MKE Cup All-Tournament Team ... Finished seven points on one goal and five assists ... Scored the game-winning goal in MU[apos]s 2-1 win over Long Beach State ... Provided an assist of Rachel Brown[apos]s goal against North Dakota (9/4) and Ashley Stemmeler[apos]s goal versus Notre Dame (9/25) ... 2009: Did not see action in 2009 due to medical reasons.
2008: Played in 17 games, making first career start in 1-1 draw vs. Cincinnati (Oct. 19). Dished out first career assist to Laurenzi with 4-2 win over DePaul (Oct. 3). Put four of six shots on net.
Prior to Marquette: Philbin earned four varsity letters at North Penn High School where, as a junior and senior, she was named the team[apos]s offensive MVP. She helped her team to the district quarterfinals in 2005, back-to-back Suburban One League Championships in 2006 and 2007, and district and state semifinals in 2007. An All-Suburban One League First Team selection in 2008 and leading scorer, second Team Selection in 2007, she was an All-Suburban One League honorable mention in 2005 when she was the team[apos]s second leading goal scorer. Her club team, FC Delco, won four Eastern Pennsylvania State Cup Championships in 2005, 2006, and 2007. FC Delco won the Region I Championship in 2008 advancing to nationals, was a Region I finalist in 2007 and a Region I semifinalist in 2006.
Personal: Philbin was born March 25, 1990. The daughter of Georgina and Robert Philbin, her mother was a diver at the University of Connecticut and Keene State College (NH). She earned letters in indoor track her sophomore and senior years and basketball her freshman year as the team[apos]s MVP and second leading scorer. She was also a track championship and state qualifier in 4x200, 4x400 and long jump. Philbin is a nursing major.
