2024 (R-Jr.): Hit .435 (11-1-23) with 11 kills, two service aces and four digs in match against then-No.1 Pitt (Sept. 22) ... All-Hyatt Invitational Team after posting a career-high 18 kills and nine digs against WKU (Sept. 13) ... Notched a season-high 18 digs, five kills and two aces in the win against then-No. 24 Dayton (Sept. 14) ... Recorded four service aces in the sweep against Butler (Oct. 6) ... Reached 11 kills in back-to-back matches against Princeton (Oct. 26) and Georgetown (Oct. 27).
2023 (R-So.): Started 27 of the 28 matches in which she appeared with five starts at setter and 22 at right-side hitter ... Missed the final four matches of the year with a hand injury ... Posted 167 kills (1.69 per set), 220 assists (2.22 per set), 31 service aces (0.31 per set), 290 digs (2.93 per set) and 47 total blocks (0.47 per set) ... Hit .174 on the year (167-77-517) ... Guided MU to a 5-0 record as the team's lone setter from Oct. 20-Nov. 1 in road matches at Butler, Xavier and DePaul along with home contests against Providence and UConn ... 2022 (R-Fr.): BIG EAST All-Freshman Team ... Hit .306 with 254 total kills (2.21 per set) as MU's primary right-side hitter ... Also posted 30 service aces, 139 digs and 40 total blocks ... Made position switch during fall camp from setter to right-side hitter ... Named BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after hitting .433 against No. 6 Wisconsin and High Point… Had 16 kills and hit .400 with eight digs and two blocks at UW (Sept. 2)… Posted 14 kills and hit .433 with three blocks against High Point (Sept. 4)… First career double-double against Loyola Chicago (Sept. 6) with 12 kills and 15 digs along with three blocks … Career-high four service aces against Milwaukee (Sept. 11) ... 2021 (RS): Did not see action while recovering from a preseason injury.
2020-21: Foti did not play during her first semester on campus after graduating high school and enrolling early at Marquette ... Was not eligible to compete.
Prior to Marquette: Three-time varsity captain (sophomore, junior, and senior years) from Edgewood High School in Fitchburg, Wisconsin .. Ella earned all-state honorable mention honors as a freshman, followed by first team all-state, all-area, and all-conference honors junior and senior year... She recorded a 217 kills, 231 digs, 266 assists, and 23 aces her junior year... Earned first place with Wisconsin Volleyball Academy at 2020 National Qualifier... Also lettered in basketball for two years.
Personal: Born in Madison, Wisconsin ... Youngest of three children to Tom and Brenda Foti ... Has two older sisters, Samantha and Brianna ... Mother and father played volleyball and basketball, respectively, at North Dakota State ... Sister, Samantha, played volleyball at Xavier ... Education and psychology major.
