2024 Season (GS): All-BIG EAST Second Team ... Finished the 2024 regular season ninth nationally with a .593 winning percentage (140-of-236) at the dot .... Led MU with a single-season program record 90 ground balls in 2024 ... Picked up nine ground balls in the season opener against Air Force (Feb. 3) and won 8-of-12 faceoffs ... Claimed 11-of-14 draws against Utah (March 2) and picked up nine ground balls ... Recorded one goal, one assist, and five ground balls, while winning 9-of-16 faceoffs against then-No. 1 Notre Dame (Feb. 18) ... Played all 15 games, won 133 faceoffs at a .568 clip (133-of-234), picked up 69 ground balls and posted seven points on four goals and three assists ... Finished fourth in the BIG EAST in faceoff winning percentage ... FO% was also the No. 5 single-season mark in MU history ... His 133 FO wins are the third-highest single season mark at MU (behind Zachary Melillo's 2016 and 2017 seasons) ... Only FO specialist at MU other than Melillo to earn All-BIG EAST honors ... Scored first career goal against Detroit Mercy (March 5) ... Scored in three consecutive games against Air Force (March 26), Providence (April 2) and St. John's (April 9) ... 2020 Season (RS - COVID): Did not see action as a true freshman after arriving on campus in January 2020.
Prior to Marquette: Williams enrolled at Marquette in January 2020 after spending the fall of 2019 at IMG Academy in Florida ... Williams attended St. Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights, Minnesota and was named the Pioneer Press Boys Lacrosse Player of the Year as a senior in 2019.
Personal: Williams is the son of David and Kim Williams ... Has two brothers and one sister ... Older brother, Ben, was a USILA All-American face-off specialist at Syracuse, where he became the all-time leader in face-off wins and a three-time Tewaaraton Award nominee ... Father played football at the University of Minnesota from 1985-87 ... Earned a bachelor's degree from MU in real estate and acquired a graduate certificate in leadership in May 2024.
