2025 Season (Jr.): Played all 14 games and posted a 7-7 record with a .473 save percentage and 151 total saves in 805:25 of game action ... Made a career-high 17 saves on April 5 against No. 14 Georgetown, while holding the Hoyas to 10 goals in a narrow 10-9 double overtime defeat ... Made 12 saves and allowed 10 goals in 18-11 win over Denver in the regular season finale to help MU secure a berth in the BIG EAST semifinals ... BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on April 28 for play against the Pios ... Also named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll twice in 2025 (March 24 and April 7).
2024 Season (So.): Saw action in three games, playing 38:14 in cage and making seven saves, while allowing nine goals.
2023 Season (Fr.) Played in six games as a true freshman and made three starts ... Played a total of 258:31 in net, while making 54 saves and allowing 61 goals ... Three starts came in the final three games of BIG EAST play against then-No. 9/10 Georgetown, then-No. 12/13 Villanova and then-No. 11/10 Denver ... All three starts resulted in overtime losses ... Named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week after posting a career-high 15 saves in first career collegiate start against No. 9 Georgetown (April 15) ... Prior to Marquette: Lawas was a four-year member of the lacrosse team at The Hill Academy and served as team captain his junior and senior year under head coach Brodie Merrill… Was named Team MVP his junior year, was a three-time Under Armor All-American Upstate, and Main Stage All-Star… Played club lacrosse for FCA Lacrosse under head coach Sol Bliss.
Personal: Lawas was born in Canandaigua, New York and is the son of Christine Lawas and Tom Gill… Has four older siblings, Matt, Zach, Eli, and Erin … Exercise physiology major.
