BIG EAST All-Academic (2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23)

2024 Season (R-Jr.): Won 2-of-4 faceoffs in lone appearance against Detroit Mercy (Feb. 13).

2023 Season (R-So.): Won seven faceoffs and picked up four ground balls in home victory over St. John's (April 8).

2022 Season (RS): Did not see action.

2021 Season (Fr.): Made NCAA debut at No. 4 Georgetown (March 6) and lost all three face-offs he took.

Prior to Marquette: Rios earned three letters in lacrosse at Cherry Creek High School and was a team captain as a senior in 2020 … Helped Cherry Creek to a Colorado Class 5A state championship in 2019, as well as conference championship in both 2018 and 2019 … Earned second team all-state and first team all-conference honors as a junior in 2019 … Participated in the Faceoff Academy National Showcase in 2016, 2017 and 2019 … Competed in the Under Armour All-American Underclass event in 2019 and 2017 … Finished fourth in his age group at the Faceoff Academy National Showcase in 2019 … Earned first team academic all-state honors … Adrenaline All-American in 2020 … As a junior in 2019, won 188-of-260) 72.3 percent of the faceoffs he took … Posted a 77.6 winning percentage in the playoffs as a junior (59-of-76) … Played with fellow 2020 signee Jack Kinney for coaches Matt Bocklet and Ken Clauson at Cherry Creek, also the alma mater of MU midfielder Jacob Hallam … Competed with Denver Elite 2020 Silver.

Personal: Rios was born in Englewood, Colorado and is the older of two sons to John and Cheryl Rios … Has a younger brother, Evan … Father played football at UC Santa Barbara and UCLA ...
