2024 Season (GS): Started all 14 games at close defense and posted two assists, 13 ground balls and six caused turnovers ... Recorded two assists and two ground balls against No. 13/12 Michigan (Feb. 24) in Naples, Florida ... Notched three ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers against Utah (March 2).

2023 Season (R-Jr.): Started 13 of 14 games at close defense ... Notched a career-best 22 ground balls alongside six caused turnovers ... Picked up two ground balls and caused a turnover in start against Bellarmine (March 11) ... Notched two ground balls in road win over Penn State (March 18) ... Forced two turnovers and picked up four ground balls in home win over St. John's (April 8).

2022 Season (R-So.): Played in all 15 games and made nine starts while picking up 12 ground balls and causing nine turnovers ... Started first game of the year on close defense against Detroit Mercy (March 5) ... Picked up a season-high three ground balls at Robert Morris (March 19) ... Caused a season-high two turnovers against both Bellarmine (Feb. 12) and Detroit Mercy (March 5).

2021 Season (R-Fr.): Played in 12 games and made one start on close defense while recording one assist ... Made first career start at No. 8 Notre Dame (March 17) ... Posted first career point with an assist in the season finale at St. John's (April 30).

2020 Season (RS - COVID): Appeared in two games at close defense as a true freshman ... Made NCAA debut in his home state of Michigan against Detroit Mercy on Feb. 22.

Prior to Marquette: Verlinde was a three-sport athlete in lacrosse, football, and basketball at Spring Lake High School … Three-time captain from sophomore to senior year … Two-time first team all-state (2017 and 2019) and four-time first team all-conference … Second team all-state as a junior and honorable mention as a freshman … Three-time team MVP … US Lacrosse All-Academic in 2018 … Led Spring Lake to first conference title in program history as a senior, tallying 47 caused turnovers, 71 ground balls, 2 goals, 2 assists … Played club lacrosse for True Michigan and True National.
