Prior to Marquette: She played three and a half seasons at Purdue University, where she was a three-time All-Big Ten Selection and started in 98 of the 105 games she appeared in ... McLaughlin played in eight games during her senior season before missing the rest of the year with an ankle injury ... She holds the program record for most 3-pointers at Purdue (244) and ranks in the top-25 with 1,308 career points ... A career 35 percent 3-point shooter and an 87 percent free throw shooter, she holds career averages of 12.8 points, 3.6 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game ... McLaughlin joined the 1,000-point club in 79 games at Purdue, which was the fifth-fastest mark in program history ... She also holds the single-season 3-point record as she hit 88 triples in 2018-19 ... She helped lead the Boilermakers to the WNIT as a freshman in 2017-18, where they advanced to the Round of 16 ... Purdue missed the postseason in 2018-19 and 2020-21 while the 2019-20 postseason was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic ... High School: A four-year letterwinner at Homestead High School, McLaughlin was named the 2017 Gatorade Indiana Player of the Year and Miss Basketball in the state of Indiana ... She was a three-time first team all-state honoree and a consensus top-75 recruit coming out of high school ... She led the Spartans to a 103-10 mark over her four-year career, including the 2017 Indiana High School 4A State Championship, where she scored 29 points with six assists in the state title-clinching victory ... McLaughlin scored a school-record 2,586 career points at Homestead, adding all-time marks for free throw percentage (92 percent), single-season scoring (778), single-game scoring (40) and single-game 3's (12) ... Her career scoring total is ranked in the top-10 all-time in Indiana and she averaged over 23 points per game for her final three years of high school ... Coached by Ron Parker, she led Homestead to four sectional championships, four conference titles, three regional championships and two semi-state titles.

Graduated from Purdue with her degree in management and will pursue a graduate degree in communications and media studies Marquette.
