Prior to Marquette: Eckel played in 46 matches (155 sets) during two seasons (2023-24) at Middle Tennessee and recorded 247 digs (1.59 per frame) with 46 assists and 15 service aces ... She notched a career-best 2.15 digs per set (157 total) as a sophomore in 2024 with 11 service aces.
2024 (So. at Middle Tennessee): Played in 73 sets across 20 matches… Recorded 157 digs which ranked fifth on the team and her 2.15 digs/set ranked fourth… Tallied 43 assists and 11 service aces… Recorded a career-high 19 digs in a four-set victory vs. Robert Morris (09/13)… Tallied 14 digs in a four-set victory vs. LA Tech (10/25)… Recorded a career-high three service aces and 11 digs at Charleston (09/14)… Notched double-digit digs seven times.
2023 (Fr. at Middle Tennessee): Played in 82 sets across 26 matches... Recorded 90 digs with a 1.10 digs/set ratio which ranked fifth on the team... Had a .250 hitting percentage on the season... Tallied five or more digs in six matches... Recorded a season-high 11 digs vs. UTEP on 10/28/23... In the quarterfinals of the Conference USA tournament, Eckel recorded nine digs and tallied her first career kill.
Kenosha Bradford High School: Racked up over 1,200 digs and 220 service aces in her time in high school... Spent two years as First Team All-Conference and Defensive Player of the Year... Named Second Team All-Conference, First Team All-County, Second Team All-County, and an AVCA Phenom List honoree... Spent six semesters on the Honor Roll and tallied over 100 hours of voluntary service... Played club with the Motion Volleyball Program... With MVP, Ally was an AAU All-American and played second at nationals in 2021.
Personal: Daughter of Mark and Jennifer Eckel ... Mom, Jennifer, played golf at Grand Valley State (1995-99) and her sister plays volleyball at Quincy University
