Volleyball Falls To Nationally-Ranked Badgers

MADISON, Wis. - The Marquette volleyball team had its five-match winning streak broken tonight, falling to cross-state rival Wisconsin 3-0. The #13 Badgers downed the Golden Eagles 15-9, 15-9, 15-2 in front of 1,442 at the Wisconsin Fieldhouse.
Sophomore outside hitter Kelly Kaylor led Marquette with a .273 hitting percentage over the three games, while junior Liz Egasti collected 27 assists and a block solo. Freshman Danielle Hagen tallied a .286 hitting percentage in two games.
Marquette is now 5-3 following the loss, while Wisconsin improves to 5-3 with the victory.
The Golden Eagles are back in action tomorrow afternoon at noon (CT) when they take on UW-Milwaukee in their second match at the Wisconsin Challenge.
