Marquette Volleyball Drops Three-Game Verdict At Cincinnati

Milwaukee -- The Marquette volleyball team its two-match winning streak come to an end this evening as American Division-leading Cincinnati topped the Golden Eagles in three games, 15-11, 15-10, 15-11. The setback drops MU's record to 7-19 overall, 5-8 in C-USA, while the Bearcats now stand 20-6 overall, 12-1 in the league.
Cincinnati recorded a 16.9 attack percentage while holding the Golden Eagles to .065 percent. Marquette finished with a 61-56 advantage in digs while both squads registered six total blocks.
MU junior Mehgan Devine (Harris, Minn.) recorded a match-high 14 kills to pace the Golden Eagle attack while also compiling 10 digs, her first double-double of the year. Junior Annie Richey (Saint Louis, Mo.) notched a match-leading 15 digs while freshmen Megan Markowski (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) and Amy Murphy (St. Charles, Ill.) each came up with 10 digs.
Marquette's next action takes place on Saturday (Nov. 4) when it plays at Louisville.
