Golden Eagles Drop 6-1 Match to Ohio State

The Marquette women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision today at the Helfear Tennis Stadium in Milwaukee.
The only Golden Eagle to see a victory was senior Laura Garcia who at No. 1 singles defeated Kristy Dascoli , 6-4, 6-1. Garcia improved her record to 5-1 overall on the season.
Freshman Sommer LaValley, playing No. 6 singles, forced a second set tiebreaker after losing the first set. She lost the tiebreaker and the match, 7-5 7-6 (4).
The loss puts the Golden Eagles at 1-2 on the season, their next match will be this Sunday, January 28 against Colorado at the Helfear Tennis Stadium. The action will begin at 9:30 a.m.
