Marquette senior Laura Garcia shared the celebration of her last home match at Marquette by helping the team to a 4-3 win over DePaul.
The win gives Marquette a 6-12 record this season and will help the Golden Eagles earn a higher seed come the Conference USA tournament.
Garcia's match clinched the victory for Marquette. After dropping the first set to Laura Taylor, Garcia came back strong, losing only three games through the next two sets.
Freshman Eva Trujillo-Herrera and Veronica Briseno-Garcia also earned victories for the Golden Eagles, both in straight sets.
Although the No. 3 doubles team of Briseno-Garcia and Anabelle Espinosa needed a tiebreaker to win their doubles match, Marquette swept the doubles competition.
