At the Milwaukee Tennis Classic today, the Marquette combo of freshman Michelle Mojzis and sophomore Gen Charron lost in quarterfinal action. This is Mojzis' first tournament with the Golden Eagles, as she joined the team for the spring season. Mojzis' brother Peter is a junior on the Marquette men's team. Charron and Mojzis were defeated at Marquette's Helfaer Tennis Stadium on Saturday. They lost to the partners of Haynor and Wright from Purdue, 8-3.
Haynor and Wright lost to Woods and Fink from Purdue, who will meet Bradwell and Rookledge (Kentucky) in the women's doubles finals on Sunday at noon.
Other winners from the Classic on Saturday included Caitlin Burke, who will play against Ioana Plesu tomorrow in the women's singles finals.
The men's finals consist of Travis Parrott of Portland, who meets Rameez Junaid from Auburn. The men's doubles finals will see Austin and Benmansour from Kentucky taking on Currie and Borendame from Butler.
