Women Fall to IU In Close Match

The Marquette women's tennis team lost today against the undefeated Indiana Hoosiers, 4-3.
The Hoosiers, coming off an upset win against Notre Dame, won in the No. 1, 3, 4, and 5 positions in singles action.
Marquette's sophomore Eva Herrera defeated Karie Schlukebir in the No. 2 spot and junior Alex Stankovic (Sweden) won by default in the No. 6 spot. The pair teamed in doubles and also won by default.
Sophomore Gen Charron and junior Anna Pavlovic also won in doubles action, defeating IU's Schlukebir and Linda Tran by a score of 8-5.
The Golden Eagles continue their Midwestern road trip with a stop in Champaign, Ill. To take on the Fightin Illini. The match starts at noon.
