MU Singles Dominate Action at Bronco Invitational

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Marquette women's tennis team continued play at the 2002 Bronco Invitational. MU continued the hidden dual format tournament with singles play against Western Michigan and Indiana and doubles play against Ball State.
The Golden Eagles struggled against the hosts, Western Michigan. MU lost all six matches against Bronco players. However, three Golden Eagles stretched the match to three sets. Michelle Mojzis at no. 2, Veronica Garcia Briseno at no. 3 and Anna Pavlovic at no. 4 all stretch the match to its limits before losing.
MU came away with three wins in five matches against the Hoosiers. Mojzis, Garcia Briseno and Pavlovic were winners.
MU won all three doubles matches against Ball State, improving the team's doubles record in the tournament to 5-2.
The Bronco Invitational concludes Sunday, Sept. 22 in Kalamazoo, Mich.
