Women's Tennis Fails to Survive Michigan

Milwaukee-Coming off of a two game winning streak, the women's tennis team lost the first of two matches played in Michigan this weekend, 6-1, to the University of Michigan. The Golden Eagles' record falls to 3-12.
Anna Pavlovic came away with a victory in her No. 4 singles match against Kim Plaushines, 6-3, 6-3. Pavlovic is currently second on the squad in wins with her 14-12 record.
After losing the first set 6-2, Eva Trujillo-Herrera brought the No. 1 singles match into extra sets after she took the second set 6-1. She failed to take the match in the third set, losing, 6-4. Trujillo-Herrera's record is now 7-16.
Annabelle Espinosa fell in the No. 2 singles match, 6-4, 6-1, to Chrissie Nolan. Espinosa currently posts a 2-12 win-loss record on the season.
In No. 3 singles, the team leader in wins, Veronica Garcia Briseno broke her three game win streak with her, 6-2, 6-3, loss to Leanne Rutherford. Garcia Briseno's record is 21-9.
Genevieve Charron lost the No. 5 singles match, 6-1, 7-5, to Joanne Musgrove. After her loss, Charron's record slips to 2-6.
No. 6 singles netter, Alexandra Stankovic, coming back to play for the first time in four matches, fell, 6-1, 6-4, to Jen Duprez. Stankovic is now 4-10.
The Golden Eagles lost the doubles point, catching no wins. In No. 1 singles, Pavlovic/Garcia Briseno lost, 8-6, to DaCosta/Rutherford. Espinosa/Charron fell, 8-4, in the No. 2 doubles meeting with Plaushines/Duprez. Stankovic/Trujillo Herrera lost, 8-3, to Nolan/Musgrove in the No. 3 doubles match.
