Women' Tennis Falls at Northwestern

Playing the toughest opponent on their schedule, to date, the Marquette Golden Eagles were unable to pull off the upset, losing to No. 7 Northwestern Tuesday afternoon.
Veronica Garcia Briseno, at No. 1 singles, faced her toughest adversary of the season, losing 6-3, 6-1 to No. 3 in the country Cristelle Grier. Genevive Charron also faced nationally-ranked opposition, in the person of Jessica Rush. Rush, No. 67 in the latest ITA rankings, beat Charron 6-2, 6-0 to clinch the win for the Wildcats.
