Women's Tennis Closes Home Slate With Sweep of UWGB

The Marquette women's tennis team snapped its twelve-match losing streak in convincing fashion, Monday, topping UW-Green Bay 7-0.
Marquette (4-14) stormed out to take the doubles point, winning all three matches, losing only three games in those matches.
From there, the Golden Eagles swept through the singles, with seniors Veronica Garcia Briseno, Genevieve Charron and Annabelle Espinosa each winning in straight sets at Nos. 1, 2 and 4. They were complemented by three freshmen, Callan Smith, Dominika Dabrowski and Andrea Bukacek, who supplied wins at the other singles positions to yield a 7-0 Marquette sweep.
The Women's Tennis team will wrap up its regular season over the weeken, as it travels south to take on Alabama and UAB, before heading to the Conference USA Championships, hosted by Louisville April 15th through the 18th.
