Women' Tennis Loses On the Road Against UW

Wisconsin?s #27 Lindsay Marin and partner Katie McGaffigan defeated the Marquette duo of Maria Calbeto and Callan Smith, 8-2, at No. 1 doubles.
The Golden Eagles never recovered after losing the doubles point, and suffered losses in each singles match.
At No. 1 singles, Smith fell to Marin, 6-1, 6-3. Calbeto was handed a loss by UW?s #99 Caitlin Burke, 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot.
Francina Bonnelly was not able to come up with a win against Nicole Beck, losing at No. 4, 6-1, 6-4.
Marquette will return home on Saturday, where they will take on Iowa at 4 p.m. at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
