Marquette Finishes El Diablo in 12th Place

Kyle Murphy leads team with 15th place finish

CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla. -- Marquette concluded the third and final round of the El Diablo Intercollegiate in the same place it finished the second round, in 12th place. The Golden Eagles could make up no ground on the field as it shot a 318 over the last 18 holes. Oklahoma City led wire-to-wire, shooting 32-under 896.

Junior Kyle Murphy led the team with a 15th place finish. He shot an 11-under, 227, finishing eight strokes behind Rhode Island's Jay Pannone, who won the event.

Freshman Ted Gray shot an 18-over, 234 to finish 40th place. Sophomore Michael Bielawkski was a shot behind in 47th place.

Junior Joe Weber came in 66th place as he shot a 26-over, 242. Junior Steve Sass rounded out the Marquette field with a 34-over, 250.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, March 25, taking on Wisconsin in a head-to-head match in Orlando, Fla.
