MILWAUKEE -- Marquette will join eight other schools in the journey south to the BIG EAST Men's Golf Championship April 27-29 at the Callawassie Island Club in Callawassie, S.C.
Nine teams will compete in a three-round 18-hole format with a practice round held on the first day, April 26. Admission is free for spectators of the 2014 BIG EAST Men's Golf Championship.
Marquette will send out CJ Swift, Brandon Cloete, Nick Nelson, Pat Sanchez and Zach Gaugert, which is the same lineup head coach Steve Bailey has stuck with the past three weeks.
The BIG EAST schools competing in this year's championship are Butler, Creighton, DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall, Villanova and Xavier.
The tournament will see nine holes played on the Magnolia Course and nine holes on the Dogwood Course which the Golden Eagles practiced on early in the year. MU is the top ranked team (121) in the Big East in the latest Golf Week standings.
This is the last scheduled tournament for Marquette in their 2013-2014 season unless a conference title is won as the winner automatically qualifies for the NCAA tournament. Live scoring will be available at Golfstat.com
