Sanchez Leads After Round One At Badger Invite

VERONA, Wisconsin -- Marquette University junior Pat Sanchez fired a first-round 4-under-par 68 Sunday and has a two-stroke lead going into Monday's second round at University Ridge.
Four of Sanchez's six birdies came on the back nine to pace the Golden Eagles, who sit in second place behind Sam Houston State (283) after they carded a team score of 1-under 287 on the opening day of the 54-hole event.
Senior Brandon Cloete and junior Nick Nelson both shot even par and are tied for 11th.
