Marquette Set to Face Western Michigan

MILWAUKEE - Following a two match weekend at Iowa, the Marquette University women's tennis team is set to play one match against Western Michigan at the West Hills Athletic Club on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. CT.
After splitting their last two matches against Eastern Michigan and Iowa, the Golden Eagles (4-2) look to build upon their record as they face the Broncos (5-3), who are 3-0 at home this season.
Marquette senior Aleeza Kanner is off to a hot start this season. She has posted a 6-0 record in singles play, contributing to the squad's 25-11 overall singles record.
The doubles team of Silvia Ambrosio and Erin Gebes continue their strong effort with a 3-1 record in doubles play. In their last outing, the duo were leading 5-3 in their match before it was called off.
Western Michigan is coming off a weekend where they split two games at Indiana University. In the first matchup, the Broncos fell to No. 55 Indiana 5-2. But, they rebounded with a 4-0 win against Morehead State.
The Golden Eagles will return home to host Green Bay on Sat. Feb. 20 following the road match in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
