Marquette failed to connect for the first minute and a half of the third, but nailed a trio of three-point shots and made a series of transition baskets to open a 23-point lead at the end of the frame and used nine fourth-quarter points from Hiedeman to cruise to victory.
With the week off for finals, Marquette will head downtown to face cross-town foe Milwaukee on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 4 p.m. Central time before taking on nationally ranked Notre Dame in South Bend Dec. 20 to close non-conference play.
