Marquette Opens Dual Season at Helfaer

MILWAUKEE—The Marquette University women's tennis team will begin dual play against in-state rivals Wisconsin and Green Bay on Jan. 26 and 28, respectively, at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium.

Marquette is coming off play at the Indiana Winter Invitational, where a variety of doubles pairings collected strong wins.

The Golden Eagles will open their dual season against the Badgers of Wisconsin, with the first serve at 2:30 p.m. CT. UW is coming off an impressive weekend where the team brought home first place finishes in four different flights, splitting them equally between singles and doubles.

Green Bay will also be opening its spring season this weekend, with a three-dual meet stint spanning Friday to Sunday. The Phoenix only played in the Warhawk Fall Invite during the autumn season.

The match against Green Bay will begin at 1 p.m. CT. Following the opening weekend, Marquette will travel to Indiana to take on the Hoosiers.
