Women's Tennis Travels to Western Michigan

MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's tennis team travels to Kalamazoo, Mich. on Sunday, Feb. 18 to take on Western Michigan University. First serve is slated for 10:00 a.m. Central time.
The Golden Eagles (2-3) most recently downed Illinois-Chicago, 6-1 on Sunday afternoon at Helfaer Tennis Stadium. Natalija Popovic played for the first time at the No. 1 position and took a 6-3, 6-4 win, followed by Paula Tormos Sanchez who earned a 6-1, 6-3 win at the No. 2 spot.
The Broncos (4-4) are coming off a two-match win streak against IUPUI and Hillsdale College on Feb. 3. Western Michigan is a perfect 3-0 at home this season. Junior Melina Lyubomirova has played all but three matches at No. 1 for the Broncos and is coming in at 7-9 overall, 4-4 in dual matches and 3-2 at the one position.
Following the matchup with Western Michigan, the Golden Eagles will travel home to host South Dakota St. on Friday, Feb. 23.
