MIAMI, Fla. - The Marquette University women's tennis team dropped its first of two matches in Miami to Columbia, 6-1.
The Golden Eagles (5-6) were led by Natalija Popovic, who defeated the Lions' Christie Wan at the No. 2 singles spot. The duo of Paula Tormos Sanchez and Andrea Amortegui nabbed a victory in doubles play at the No. 2 spot.
Marquette will take on No. 43-ranked and hosting Florida International on Saturday. First serve is slated for 1 p.m. Central time.
