Marquette (-3) Leads Northern Intercollegiate in Second Round

The Golden Eagles will seek their second straight win at Rich Harvest Farms on Sunday
SUGAR GROVE, Ill. — With 2-under-par days on Saturday, Hunter Eichhorn and Matt Murlick have lifted Marquette to a seven stroke lead through almost two complete rounds at the Northern Intercollegiate at Rich Harvest Farms.
Attempting to win their second straight Northern Intercollegiate, the Golden Eagles shot an opening round 7-under-par 281, while second round play was halted due to darkness with Marquette playing 4-over-par.
With nine birdies each, Eichhorn and Murlick are tied for third place in the second round. Eichhorn opened with a 2-under-par 70, while Murlick carded a 71. Freshman Tyler Leach is tied for 10th at even par after he fired a 70 int he first round.
Round two will conclude Sunday morning, while a shotgun start third round will close the tournament.
