
Marquette Hosts Illinois State on Sunday

MILWAUKEE – The Marquette women's basketball team will host Illinois State for the third time in program history Sunday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. CT.
Wisconsin sports stream will provide the free live stream, which can be found on GoMarquette.com. Patrick Reed (play-by-play) and Chris Reisner (analyst) will call the action from the Al McGuire Center.
The Golden Eagles (2-0) are coming off their second victory of the season against St. Francis Brooklyn, 92-71. Selena Lott led the Golden Eagles tying her career-high of 24 points while sophomore Chloe Marotta clinched her first double-double of her career, tallying 20 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. BIG EAST Preseason Freshman of the Year Jordan King posted six points and 4 rebounds while fellow freshman Taylor Cameron threw down a career-high 15 points.
NEXT UP: Marquette will return to action Thursday, Nov. 14 at the Al McGuire Center to host Northwestern at 7 p.m. CT.

The team is led by senior Sloane Totta who averaged 11.4 ppg and posted a team-high of 33 steals during the 2018-19 season. The Redbirds finished the 2018-19 camping 19-12 overall and will be returning two of their five starters from last season.
This will be the first time since 2009 the Golden Eagles will face the Redbirds. Illinois state holds the all-time series record 2-1.

The Redbirds senior guard TeTe Magget went off in the second quarter scoring 12 of her 21 points. Senior Lexi Wallen shot 6-of-7 from the field while junior Juliunn Redmond totaled 12 points, grabbing five boards.
