
Marquette Heads to South Dakota State

The Golden Eagles conclude a four-game road swing
MILWAUKEE— The Marquette women's basketball team will be Brookings, South Dakota on Tuesday, Dec. 17 to take on the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Frost Arena.
The contest will be streaming live and for a fee on South Dakota State's Athletics website.
The Golden Eagles (7-2) are currently on a three-game win streak with their most recent win coming against crosstown foe Milwaukee 78-56. Freshman guard Jordan King paved the way offensively, collecting a career-high 18 points along with three rebounds and assists. Her performance landed her a spot on the BIG EAST honor roll for the first time this season. Guards Selena Lott (14) and Isabelle Spingola (11) also ended up in double-digit scoring. Defensively, Altia Anderson collected a team-high seven rebounds and a block. Anderson is currently 43rd in the country in total blocks with 17 through nine games.
Marquette has four players that average double digits this season. Lott is out in front with 15.9 points per game, while Spingola is collecting 11.7. Lauren Van Kleunen and King are also adding 10.6 points per game, respectively. On the defensive side, Anderson is pulling down 6.7 rebounds per game, while Chloe Marotta nabs 6.2.
UP NEXT: Marquette will return home after a four-game road trip to host Belmont on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. CT at the Al McGuire Center.
