The Marquette University men's basketball team (8-2, 0-0 BIG EAST) continues its season-long three-game homestand on Friday, Dec. 20 when the squad welcomes North Dakota State (8-4, 0-0 Summit League) to Fiserv Forum for an 8 p.m. CT tip.  FS1 will feature the national television broadcast, with Jeff Levering (play-by-play) and Stephen Bardo (analyst) calling the action.  Following Friday's action, the players and staff will scatter across the country to spend Christmas with friends and family before returning to action on Dec. 28 against Central Arkansas in the non-conference finale.
Marquette Facing Bison For Fifth Time
    
The Golden Eagles are meeting NDSU for the fifth time in the series, with Marquette in possession of a 3-1 advantage in the previous matchups.
    
The Bison claimed the most recent meeting, downing MU 64-60 at the Bradley Center in the championship game of the 2006 Pepsi Blue & Gold Classic.
    
The two programs first met on January 1, 1930 in Milwaukee and Marquette claimed a 26-17 victory. The series also includes MU wins in 1956-57 and 1965-66.
MU Embraces Spirit Of Giving Against Tigers
    
Marquette assisted on 93.1 percent (27-of-29) of its made field goals Tuesday night in the win over Grambling State.
    
Eight of the 10 players to see action had at least one helper, led by guard Koby McEwen's seven assists. Junior forward Jamal Cain directly created five scoring opportunities for his teammates, a single-game personal best.
    
Marquette's assist total was its highest since collecting 30 in its previous outing against Grambling State on Dec. 2, 2015.
McEwen Produces All-Around Performance
    
Redshirt junior guard Koby McEwen, playing in his first season with MU after two campaigns at Utah State, had one of his best all-around efforts with the Golden Eagles in the win over Grambling State.
    
He finished the night with 10 points, seven assists and five rebounds in 26 minutes of action. His assist total marked a personal best at Marquette and he is currently second on the team in rebounding (5.1 rpg.)
    
McEwen is second in the BIG EAST in free throw percentage (.921).
