
Marquette Opens BIG EAST Slate at DePaul

Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. CT on Sunday
MILWAUKEE— The Marquette women's basketball team opens its 15th season of BIG EAST play on Sunday, Dec. 29 when the Golden Eagles travel to No. 16/16 DePaul. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. CT at McGrath-Phillips Arena.
The game will air on the BIG EAST Digital Network with Dave Bernhard and Trish Babcock-McGraw calling the action, while Meghan McKeown will handle sideline reporting.
The Golden Eagles finished the non-conference slate with a 9-2 record and own a five-game winning streak heading into the matchup with DePaul. MU's two losses came in an overtime battle against Northwestern and a narrow loss to then No. 10 Mississippi State.
Three Golden Eagles average double figures with junior Selena Lott leading the squad at 14.9 points per game, which ranks 10th in the BIG EAST standings. Senior Isabelle Spingola tallies 11.3 points per contest, while freshman Jordan King checks in with 10.5 points each game. Lott is second in the conference dishing out 5.6 assists per game.
Senior Altia Anderson is seventh in the league in rebounding with 6.7 boards per game as the Golden Eagles rank second in the BIG EAST overall with 38.7 rebounds combined.

Stonewall is third in the BIG EAST in scoring as the Blue Demons lead the league with 88.7 points per game combined. Sonya Morris (16.9 ppg) and Lexi Held (12.9 ppg) also average double digits. DePaul's two losses come at the hands of a 98-77 decision at Oregon State and a narrow 84-74 setback to No. 2 UConn.
