MILWAUKEE— The Marquette women's basketball team is back in action on Sunday, Dec. 8 on the road against the Milwaukee Panthers at the Klotsche Center.

The Golden Eagles (6-2) are coming off of two straight wins at the Saint Mary's Thanksgiving Classic last weekend, defeating host Saint Mary's (77-63) on Friday and Tulsa (61-60) on Saturday.

Selena Lott and Lauren Van Kleunen scored 18 points apiece Friday afternoon as MU shot 46 percent from the floor and held SMC to 38.7 percent shooting for the game. Freshman Jordan King chipped in 13 points and tied a career-high with seven rebounds while Isabelle Spingola finished with nine points and a season-best 10 rebounds, which was a game-high.

Spingola hit the game-winning free throws with nine seconds remaining to give MU a one-point victory over Tulsa on Saturday, wrapping up the tournament title for MU. Camryn Taylor tallied 15 points and seven rebounds for the Golden Eagles, which were both team-highs.

Lott, who scored 10 points and dished out five assists, was named tournament MVP for her performances. Lauren Van Kleunen joined Lott on the all-tournament team.

MU has three players averaging double figures this season, led by Selena Lott leads with 16.1 points per game. Isabelle Spingola and Lauren Van Kleunen add 11.8 and 11.1 points per game, respectively. On the defensive side, Altia Anderson and Chloe Marotta are each pulling down nearly seven boards per game while Anderson leads the BIG EAST with 16 blocked shots on the season.
