Marquette Heads to East Lansing For Two Matches

Golden Eagles begin a seven game road stretch
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women's tennis team (5-3) begins a seven-game road swing as they head to East Lasing, Michigan to face Michigan State University (6-4) on Saturday, Feb. 22 and Dartmouth College (3-5) on Sunday, Feb. 23.
The Golden Eagles are coming off a two-match weekend with a 6-1 victory over Drake University and dropped 3-4 decision to the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. Marquette rolled past Drake after dropping the doubles point to pull out the victory. The Golden Eagles dropped a tough battle to the Hawkeyes, that came down to the wire in a third set tie-break.
Dartmouth finished sixth place at the ECAC Indoor Championship last weekend. The Big Green took down Cornell 4-1 on Saturday but fell to Yale in a 4-1 decision on Sunday.
The Spartans are coming off a split weekend after falling to Notre Dame on the road, 4-0, but bouncing back to defeat Wright State, 7-0. Marquette leads the Spartans 5-3 in the all-time series history.
Marquette will continue their seven-game road trip at Creighton on Saturday, March 2 at 9 a.m.
