No. 8/7 Marquette Welcomes Villanova for its Play4Kay Pink Game

The Golden Eagles have won 11-straight games
MILWAUKEE – The 8th-ranked Marquette women's basketball program looks to continue an 11-game winning streak on Sunday as the squad welcomes Villanova to the Al McGuire Center. In addition to the Annual Play4Kay pink game, Sunday is also Kid's Take Over the Al with a variety of activities for children during the game.
The game can be seen locally on FOX Sports Wisconsin as well as a number of other regional networks along with the BIG EAST Digital Network with Patrick Reed, John Fanta and Jenny Fischer calling the action.
Marquette (20-3, 11-0) is undefeated in BIG EAST play, holding a four-game lead over second-place Butler and the Golden Eagles wrapped up a first round bye in the 2019 BIG EAST Tournament after a win over Georgetown and a Creighton loss Friday night.
Erika Davenport became just the fourth Marquette player with 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds as she grabbed a career-best 23 boards on Friday in a 59-52 win over the Hoyas.
The Golden Eagles will hit the road for a pair of contests next week beginning at St. John's on Friday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. CT.
Villanova enters play on Sunday at Marquette ranked first in the Big East and fourth in the country in fewest turnovers per game at 11.1. The Wildcats are led in scoring by Mary Gedaka who is averaging 14.1 points per game and junior guard Kelly Jekot with a 13.8 points per game average. Senior guard Adrianna Hahn is third on the team in scoring at 12.4 points per contest. Gedaka is also the team's top rebounder at 7.1 per contest.

Sunday marks the 22nd meeting between Marquette and Villanova with the Golden Eagles owning a 13-9 record in the all-time series, including a 91-55 victory in the first meeting this season.
