Women's Tennis Travels to Omaha for a Pair of Contests

MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women's tennis team (6-4) continues its seven-game road stretch as they head to Omaha, Nebraska to play Creighton University (2-6) and University of Nebraska at Omaha (3-9) on Saturday, March 2.

The Golden Eagles split the weekend with a 6-1 loss at Michigan State University and a victory over Dartmouth, 6-1. Milica Novakovic was the lone point for Marquette in the No. 3 position against MSU, but the squad rebounded and everyone gave their best effort in Sunday's team win. Novakovic and Isabella Franks duo was first on the board with the doubles point. Fleur Eggink, Natalija Popovic and Alexandrina Chinikova each tallied victories in their singles matches too.

The Bluejays finished the weekend 0-2 in the Redbird Invitational with a 4-2 loss to Illinois State and a 4-0 sweep by Southeast Missouri.

The Omaha Mavericks also come off a 0-2 weekend with losses to Iowa State and Drake University.

Marquette will continue the seven-game road trip in Los Angeles, California when they face off against Loyola Marymount University on Monday, March 11.
