Gabriel posted back-to-back goals out of the half and Caroline Steller scored with 19:15 remaining to give Marquette a seven-goal cushion, 13-6, it wouldn't surrender.
In total, MU held a 44-25 edge in shots and a 20-15 lead in ground balls, while the Purple Eagles won 17-of-30 draw controls. Marquette also forced NU into five failed clears and an 18-8 disparity in turnovers on the afternoon.
