Marquette Falls in Narrow 4-3 Decision at DePaul

The Golden Eagles claim the doubles point
CHICAGO-- The Marquette women's tennis team lost a tough 4-3 battle at conference foe DePaul on Friday night, playing in its sixth straight road contest.
The Golden Eagles (8-9) got on the board first winning the doubles point as each doubles pair (Fleur Eggink/Natalija Popovic, Elisabeth Desmarais/Isabella Franks, Milica Novakovic/Lesley Foe) won in a 6-4 decision. Novakovic responded in singles play pushing to a 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 win at the No. 3 position while Franks won her spot at No. 6 by default as the Blue Demons pushed back in the singles courts.
Marquette will travel down to Butler and take on the Bulldogs at 11 a.m. CT on Sunday, March 31.
