Golden Eagles win fourth straight match
WASHINGTON, D,C,-- The Marquette women's tennis team won its fourth straight contest on Saturday as the Golden Eagles defeated Georgetown, 5-2 in Washington, D.C.
The doubles tandem of Isabella Franks and Elisabeth Desmarais topped their opponent, 6-4 on court No. 2, while court three pulled out a 7-5 decision led by Lesley Foe and Milica Novakovic at a 7-5 mark.
In singles play, Fleuur Eggink won at a 7-5, 6-3 match at the No. 1 position, while Novakovic continued her stellar season with a 6-2, 6-1 mark at the No.3 court. Foe clinched the match victory for the Golden Eagles as she won, 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 5 position.
Marquette will next be on the court beginning Friday, April 19 for the BIG EAST Tournament Championship.
