
Marquette women's soccer signs nine for 2019

The Golden Eagles bolster their roster for the fall with nine incoming freshmen
MILWAUKEE – Head coach Markus Roeders has announced the addition of nine freshmen to the Marquette University women's soccer team for the 2019 fall campaign.
Alex Campana, Mikki Easter, Shelby Fountain, Josie Kelderman, Mel McNamara, Addie Shock, Katie Smith and twin sisters Maddie and Emma Tabor will all have four years of eligibility remaining when they arrive on campus this summer.
"We are excited to add an infusion of youth to our roster for the upcoming campaign with nine talented freshmen," Roeders said. "We are adding to the 'FAMILY' tradition of our roster with the Tabor twins and the younger sister of Macey Shock, while providing competition all over the pitch. It will be fun to watch this group develop during their time as Golden Eagles."
The class includes a pair of forwards, two midfielders, three defenders and two netminders. There are three Wisconsinites, two individuals from Maryland and one each from Arizona, Ohio, Massachusetts and Virginia.
In addition to the Tabor twins, Addie Shock joins her older sister Macey, a rising sophomore, on the MU roster for 2019.

Joins nine of her other teammates in playing at the Division I level … Ran indoor and outdoor track her junior year... My coach at the time was Jess Taylor, a former MU soccer player, who arranged for my team to be ball girls. I became an instant Marquette Women's Soccer fan. As I developed as a player and began considering soccer programs and schools, Marquette set the bar for what I wanted in an athletic and an academic experience. The chemistry and culture of the women's soccer team and the quality of the coaching were standout factors in my decision to play for Marquette. I also love the support the campus community has for the women's soccer program. It's awesome to see other MU athletic teams in the stands on game day cheering on women's soccer. My years of dedication to training and developing as a player will come full circle for me this fall when I step onto Valley Fields wearing blue and gold."
