Chinikova, Eggink, Novakovic, and Popovic earn individual honors
MILWAUKEE – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes, which include four Marquette women's tennis student-athletes.
The ITA recognized student-athletes and teams across all three levels of college athletics in addition to NAIA and JUCO. All-Academic teams honored had a team GPA of at least 3.20 or higher and the Marquette women's tennis team was one of 940 teams to qualify for this award.
Scholar-Athletes must possess a GPA of at least 3.50 for the academic year and the Golden Eagles had Alexandrina Chinikova, Fleur Eggink, Milica Novakovic, and Natalija Popovic all qualify for the award.
Each year, the ITA continues to see a rise in the number of nominees, which was evident for the Marquette women's tennis squad who had three more honorees than the previous academic year.
