Women's Tennis Opens Hoosier Classic

The Golden Eagles picked up wins in both doubles and singles play on Friday
BLOOMINGTON, Ind.-- The Marquette women's tennis team opened play in its second fall tournament on Friday, with double and singles action at the Hoosier Classic hosted by Indiana University.
Isabella Franks fought through to a 2-6, 6-0 10-2 win over Louisville in the morning match, while Milica Novakovic also earned a comeback victory as she topped Xavier, 1-6, 7-6, 10-8.
That tandem joined in doubles play to earn a round one win over MTSU, 6-4.
Marquette is back on the court tomorrow morning with two rounds of both doubles and singles competition.Ā
