
MU Opens Four-Game Homestand Friday against Georgetown

Tip-off is set for 11:30 a.m. CT for Field Trip Day
MILWAUKEE — The Marquette women's basketball team returns home for a four-game homestand, beginning with Georgetown on Friday, Jan. 24 at 11:30 a.m. CT for Field Trip Day. The Golden Eagles will host over 20 area schools for the game.
The BIG EAST Digital Network will air the contest with Patrick Reed and Kyle Dlabay calling the action from the Al McGuire Center.
The Golden Eagles (13-5, 4-3) are fresh off a win at Xavier, defeating the Musketeers, 80-60, last Sunday. Isabelle Spingola tallied a season-high 20 points to lead the way with Selena Lott (14), Camryn Taylor (13), and Altia Anderson (10) also recording double figures. Anderson's career-high 14 rebounds against Xavier helped land her a spot on the BIG EAST Honor Roll this week, the first weekly honor of her career.
Lott leads the Golden Eagles with 15.8 points per game, which ranks ninth in the BIG EAST standings, while Lauren Van Kleunen (T-19th), Spingola (T-19th) and Camryn Taylor (T-28th) also sit in the league's top-30. Lott is the BIG EAST leader in assists handing out 5.8 per game as Anderson is seventh pulling down 7.0 rebounds per night.

GEORGETOWN (4-14, 1-6): Georgetown is coming off a tough loss to conference rival Villanova, 74-53 last Sunday. Taylor Barnes recorded a team-best 14 points. Barnes is the leading scorer for the Hoyas, averaging 12.8 points per game. Senior forward Anita Kelava is pulling down 7.2 rebounds per game, which ranks sixth in the BIG EAST. The lone conference win for Georgetown came at home against Providence on Dec. 31.
