Golden Eagles looking for first dual victory
The Marquette University men's tennis team (0-1) continues its dual campaign at Iowa Saturday at 12 p.m. CT, the second of three-straight road matches.
The Golden Eagles dropped a narrow 4-3 decision at Minnesota on Jan. 18 in the dual lidlifter. Iowa features the nation's 60th-ranked player in Kareem Allaf and the 16th-ranked doubles tandem of Will Davies and Oliver Okonkwo.
"We got off to a great start in doubles at Minnesota, but weren't able to carry that over in singles," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "Establishing momentum early in the match will be key at Iowa if we want to get a win against a great program."
The Hawkeyes are 6-1 all-time against Marquette.
Following Saturday's action, the Golden Eagles return to action versus Princeton on Friday, Jan. 31 in Madison, Wis.
