Isabelle Spingola led all players with 24 points as MU won its 14th game
MILWAUKEE - Senior Isabelle Spingola posted a game-high 24 points and Selena Lott added 17 as the Marquette University women's basketball team picked up a 73-51 victory over Georgetown on Friday afternoon at the Al McGuire Center.
Marquette (14-5, 5-3 BIG EAST) shot 50 percent from the floor over the final three quarters after trailing 16-13 through 10 minutes of regulation.
The Hoyas were limited to 32.8 percent shooing (21-of-64) and turned the ball over 20 times. Marvellous Osagie-Erese was the lone Georgetown player in double figures with 10 points, while Shanniah Wright added nine.
Lauren Van Kleunen also posted 12 points for Marquette, which recorded assists on 22 of its 27 made field goals. Lott finished just shy of her career high with eight assists on the afternoon.
The Golden Eagles resume conference play on Sunday, Jan. 26 against Villanova at 2 p.m.
