
MU Hosts Villanova Sunday for We Back Pat Game

Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. on the BIG EAST Digital Network
MILWAUKEE — The Marquette women's basketball team hosts Villanova on Sunday, Jan. 26 for a "We Back Pat" Alzheimer's Awareness game. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. CT at the Al McGuire Center.
The BIG EAST Digital Network will air the contest with Kent Sommerfeld and Meghan McKeown calling the action.
The Golden Eagles (14-5, 4-3) rolled past Georgetown on Friday, 73-51 behind a season-best 24 points from Isabelle Spingola, while Selena Lott (17) and Lauren Van Kleunen (12) also added double figures. Marquette has won all three BIG EAST home games this season and is in a stretch of four consecutive home games. MU is currently in a six-way tie for second place in the league standings, which will be cut to a three-way tie at the end of Sunday evening as these six are matched up with each other.
Lott continues to lead the Golden Eagles with 15.9 points per game, which is ninth in the BIG EAST, while Spingola, Van Kleunen and Camryn Taylor all rank in the top-30. Altia Anderson has been a force on the glass this season and is pulling down 5.9 boards per night, while she ranks eighth in the conference as Chloe Marotta and Van Kleunen join her in the top-20.
