CBS Sports Network will feature the national television broadcast, with Rich Waltz (play-by-play), Bob Wenzel (analyst) and Gary Parrish (reporter) calling the action. Series With Pirates Dates Back To 1956
The Golden Eagles lead the all-time series with Seton Hall, 19-9, with all but one of the matchups coming after MU joined the BIG EAST Conference in 2005-06.
SHU opened the series with a 96-78 victory over Marquette on March 17, 1956 in MU's first-ever appearance in the National Invitation Tournament in New York. The next meeting wouldn't come until 50 years later when Marquette moved to the BIG EAST.
The Pirates claimed two of the three meetings between the two programs in 2018-19, most recently an 81-79 decision in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament.
Matchup Features League's Top Scorers
Saturday's matchup will once again feature two of the nation's top scorers in Markus Howard and Myles Powell.
The duo has combined to score 4,271 points, knock down 680 3-pointers and claim 15 career BIG EAST Player of the Week honors. Howard, who owns 11 of the 15 awards, was a consensus Second Team All-America honoree in 2018-19 and tabbed the BIG EAST Player of the Year as well.
In 2019-20, Howard is first in the nation at 26.8 points per game, while Powell checks in at 21.4 points per contest to rank second in the conference and 14th in the nation.
